Lyon – Metro B extension: LAVIOSA products in Tunneling projects

In mid-May 2021, the Coline TBM arrived at its destination, thus effectively concluding the request for bentonite for the excavation of the tunnel relating to the Line B extension project of the Lyon metro.

The stations of the Southern Hospital, Gare d’Oullins and Oullins Center in Lyon are now connected!
Since leaving the launch pit in November 2019, Coline has traveled 2.4km, laid 1,250 rings and excavated around 400,000 tons of material.
The spectacular 2,200-ton TBM machine with a power of 7.6 MW, the equivalent of a FrecciaRossa, has demonstrated its ability to nibble the hard granite of soils as well as the most friable and alluvial soils.

We have delivered almost 2500 tons of product detecting 0 non-conformities and 0 delays in deliveries, also the result of solid support from Laviose staff and logistics partners.
On the occasion of the visit on 15/06/2021, the BU Construction Tech team wanted to pay homage to the technical director Denis VIALLE and the technical manager of TBM Arnaud HOCHART, representing the IMPLENIA-DEMATIEU ET BARD consortium with a Laviosa flag, signed by all the people of the LAVIOSA Group who worked on the project, underlining the importance of the people who, working with extreme dedication and professionalism, ensured that everything went smoothly.
