For some years now Laviosa Chimica Mineraria has complied with FAMI-QS international standards for the animal feed industry, which integrates ISO 9001 Quality System with HACCP certification.
The FAMI-QS Code addresses hygiene and safety standards for animal feeds, additives and mixtures.
Some years ago Laviosa Chimica Mineraria adopted the HACCP or Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points management system for the feedstuffs and winemaking sectors. The system addresses food safety through the systematic analysis of possible hazards at every stage of the production process and in subsequent stages such as storage, transport, preservation and consumption of the finished product. In other words, this system monitors the entire food production and distribution chain.
The SEDEX – Supplier Ethical Data Exchange - Certification obtained in 2010 for cat litter is also part of a drive to improve Laviosa Chimica Mineraria business practices The organization is dedicated to improvements in responsible and ethical business practices in global supply chains.
In 2011, our bentonite for the winemaking industry obtained KOSHER certification for food companies supplying the domestic and international markets. Obtaining Kosher certification means producing foods fit for consumption in compliance with Kosher dietary rules.
Since 2008, all our Geosynthetic Clay Liners have been CE marked in compliance with current European Construction Products Regulation 305/2011 and the specific harmonized standards for geosynthetics liners.
The CE mark specifically covers the use of bentonite clay liners in the construction of hydraulic works, transport infrastructures and solid and liquid waste disposal plants.
