Water Borne Coatings

We offer a range of selected and highly-purified bentonite-based rheological modifiers for decorative paints and water-borne coatings.
These white bentonites with a high montmorillonite content are used as anti-sedimentation and thickening agents and can be used in formulation after being pre-dispersed in water.
The Laviothix series develop pseudo-plastic rheology in water. As the shear rate increases, the rheological structure breaks down and viscosity decreases. When shear forces are reduced, the structure rebuilds almost immediately and viscosity remains stable.

Surface Coatings

They can be used as rheological modifiers in water-based systems for a whole series of surface coating applications, e.g. in the various stages of the elastomer production process.
